If your permit package was rejected by your AHJ, you may be eligible for a full refund. To apply for a refund, navigate to your Profile and go to your Document Purchases History - this page will allow you to review all of your permit purchases.

If you indicate that your permit package was not accepted, an option to apply for a refund will appear.

In the refund application, we ask that you provide the following information:

  • Date submitted to the AHJ.

  • Date rejected by the AHJ.

  • Description of why the AHJ rejected the permit package.

  • The rejected package (in PDF format), including any notes or stamps added by the AHJ (this means you may need to scan and upload the hardcopy submitted), and/or any other documentation from the AHJ detailing the reasons for rejection.

Our staff will examine the documentation to ensure it's authenticity and make sure it was submitted in accordance with the instructions included with the permit package. The rejection cannot have been the result of omitting information, providing faulty information, or using the tool incorrectly. If the AHJ requires revisions that can be achieved within the app, we ask that you make the necessary changes and re-download the package at no additional charge. Otherwise, we will promptly refund your purchase in the manner in which you paid (either payment card or subscription credit).
